Making Memories

With this post I celebrate the last long weekend of summer ~ and what a fabulous weekend it was!

It is tradition for our family to head to my in-laws for the Labour Day Long Weekend. Like years past, the official start to the weekend was marked by the Rodeo Parade.
Cousins, candy and clowns...oh my!

This year we added a second tradition ~ blueberry picking in the great outdoors. We packed up some chairs, sweaters and bug spray...and the brother-in-laws loaded up their quads. Baba prepared the lunch - hot dogs to be roasted on the fire. Yum!
The afternoon was amazing ~ there was something for everyone...walking, fort-building, visiting, quading and of course...blueberry picking!

Here are some of the memories made...

There is something about autumn...something refreshing and cozy...
Something that makes me want to make homemade soup with fresh scones...
Something that makes us feel like indulging in warm apple-crisp with vanilla ice cream...

Happy Fall!
